HACKLE GAUGE

A hackle gauge is a handy device used to match the size of your hackle to the size of the hook you are tying on. Our hackle gauge slides onto most vise stems making it readily available. To determine if the hackle you select is the proper size for the hook you're using, bend the hackle around pin and read hook size off the scale. Measures hackle for hook sizes 22 to size 4.
