Accurate shooter
I stumbled upon this blank several years ago, and have now made 5 rods with it. It is an incredibly accurate rod, really great for target practice for trout in those smaller streams . At the same time, it has plenty of power to hang a long cast out there, still with accuracy. It is super light weight, and enables a whole afternoon of fishing without wearing out your arm. Every person I have built one for raves about them.

I stumbled upon this blank several years ago, and I've made 8 rods with it. By far and away, it is as good a 3 wt. blank at any price that I have ever used. It is ideal for delicate, hard to reach casts, enabling the angler to plant the fly right over the nose of rising fish. Thus, the moniker... It still has plenty of power to lay out a 100 ft cast if you're so inclined. I typically make 2 of these rods a year to donate to angling groups and every one who has been the recipient has raved about them. Not to mention my wife and nieces. A final note, after crunching a section in a car door, Batson cheerfully replaced the section; this, for a blank that doesn't remotely approach the price of Sage or Orvis blanks. Great company.
