Our Netcraft 9' 8 weight fly rod building kit features a Netcraft Sportsman’s Series IM6 graphite rod blank that is incredibly lightweight, strong and sensitive. The 296412 blank is a 2 piece blank, 9’ long rated for 8 weight line with integral ferrule and matte black finish. The 296412 is a perfect blank when fishing for larger fish like pike, steelhead, light salmon and redfish to seatrout, tarpon and snook. This is a great choice when casting poppers, egg patterns, wet flies and medium to large streamers. This rod building kit includes the same quality parts and materials used by major rod manufacturers to deliver a high performance fishing rod you will be proud to own. Netcraft kits come with all the parts and material needed to complete your rod. Each kit includes a rod blank, cork grip, machined aluminum reel seat, handle parts, guides with matching top, epoxy glue, thread and thread finish, stir sticks, brushes, mixing cups and instructions. Some basic tools like sandpaper, razor blades, scissors and a rat tail file (for reaming cork) will be needed.
