Very adequate for disposable jigs
These hooks are very adequate for disposable jigs. They will often bend with 8lb test to come out of logs, but are a great hook for fishing in places with lots of snags, small pike, or other dynamics that will cause you to lose a number of jigs. I pour these for Canada trips, or fishing rivers. I have not found these break any more than other hooks. I have not had one open on a fish. They do need a touch up sharpening wise if you're jigging rocks, but all hooks will. These are a great value if you want 85% as good as for a lot less. There is also such a think as too sharp. I want my hook to slip past a log or rock, but drive home when I set the hook on a fish. Some Owners or Gamas are so sticky I won't fish them around cover. I only fish them in sand or weeds or open water. I love not caring when a kid loses another jig, or when I take someone on a trip and I can give them 20 jigs without asking them for a $50 spot.
