Luhr Jensen spent two full years researching and testing ways to apply ultraviolet (UV) finishes on Dipsy Divers and fishing lures. It’s known that many species of predatory fish can see UV light. Ultraviolet means “beyond violet,” or light that exists beyond the shortest wavelength visible to humans. UV light penetrates water much deeper than other wavelengths, to hundreds of feet. The new UV Bright colors of Dipsy Divers take advantage of a fish’s ability to see during low-light periods of dawn, dusk, and heavy overcast.
